This study aimed to develop a Flipbook-assisted teaching e-module for reading exposition texts based on Malay culture for eighth-grade junior high school students and to describe the form and structure of the developed product. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the Borg and Gall model, which was modified into seven stages: identifying potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and final product revision. The research was conducted at SMP Islam Kepenuhan and SMP Negeri 1 Kepenuhan, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The participants consisted of material experts, media experts, language experts, Indonesian language teachers, and eighth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and tests, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The findings revealed that the developed e-module was systematically organized into introductory, content, and closing sections and incorporated interactive multimedia features through a flipbook integrated with Malay cultural content. Expert validation indicated that the e-module was highly feasible, with an average media feasibility score of 91.33% and a language feasibility score of 91.07%. The practicality test showed that teachers' responses reached 89.33% (very practical), while students' responses were categorized as very high. The effectiveness test demonstrated that students who learned using the developed e-module achieved better reading comprehension of exposition texts than those who used conventional teaching materials. Therefore, the Malay culture-based Flipbook-assisted e-module is considered valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable as an alternative digital teaching material for Indonesian language learning.
